The Pet Gundog is the gundog training element of Trained For Life which is based near Marlborough, Wiltshire and was set up by
Lez Graham at the beginning of 2007

Lez is a dog behaviour specialist with a penchant for gundogs. As a gundog trainer, Lez' focus is on steadiness and obedience. By bringing in the behaviour element into her gundog training gives her handlers a deeper understanding of why we train the gundog the way we do. Moving away from the 'old-style/traditional' gundog training and yet keeping the discipline of the well trained field dog, we use play and touch to facilitate a strong bond between
dog and handler.

Lez is the Education & Development Officer for the Guild of Dog Trainers.

Lez has studied dog psychology with two colleges, trained and competed her dogs in obedience in the UK and New Zealand and in gundog trials in NZ and has worked in the complementary health care arena with different animals, but mainly dogs. As well as competition obedience and gundog work Lez has trained her own dogs for Agility and Search and Rescue.

Lez holds a certificate in canine psychology, is a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA), a master trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers (GoDT) and is currently studying for her Masters Degree in Dog Behaviour & Psychology at Middlesex University.
